Q: “Who is your second shooter?”

FAQ's

A: I have a handful of fellow photographers that I work with on a regular basis. Each photographer I bring on board has the skill level and shooting style that fits best with my brand. Something important to remember is that each of these photographers are also business owners, and who I choose to work with me depends on who is available to hop on board!

Q: “Are we required to provide a meal for your team?”

A: For plans 6 hour and longer, I do require a hot plated meal for both my second shooter and myself (we’ll have what you’re having!). We always prefer to receive our plates at the same time as the couple so that we can finish eating in a timely manner and get back on the floor in time for speeches!

Q: “Whats your photography style?”

A: Aesthetically, I consider my art to reflect a rich and contrasted feel. I love warm tones and natural lighting. My working style includes both naturally posed and candid moments. Modern family formals are always a must (especially to share with your loved-ones), but I especially love to have fun with my couples by posing and prompting to elicit natural smiles and reactions. I’m very hands-on and not afraid to take charge – however I make a mental note to never block the view of your guests during pivotal moments of the day (unless it is a very tiny room!)

Q: “When will I receive my images?”

A: Each wedding is edited and delivered as an online gallery in 30 days. I pride myself on a quick turn-around time so that you can re-live your big day while it’s still fresh in your mind. I know these photos are incredibly cherished and trust me when I say I am eager to deliver them! As a thank you, I always send a few “sneak peeks” the day-after so you can enjoy and share those moments on social media or with your loved-ones who could not make it on your big day.

Q: “How many images will we receive?”

A: The amount of images delivered depends heavily on how many hours of coverage are scheduled. Other factors that determine quantity are details such as: a first look, gift exchange, cocktail hour, decorations/special touches, getting ready coverage, and speeches and other events during the reception. Regardless - I will always deliver the best images and want to work with couples who value quality over quantity.
6-hour day – average 400-600 images
8-hour day - average 600-800 images
10-hour day – average 800-1,000 images

Q: “Can we have all of the images you took?”

A: The simple answer to this question is no. You will likely notice that I take many shots during one moment or pose, and this is because so many factors can inhibit a “perfect” shot and I prefer to have multiple copies in order to select the best version (because we’re all human and sometimes a family member will move, look away, blink, or talk in the middle of a shot). My photography is my art and when you hire me, you put faith into knowing I am an expert in this field. I would never withhold images unless they do not meet my personal and professional standards or include blinking uncles and antsy out-of focus kids. (So don’t worry, if they’re good, you’re gettin’ em!)

Q: “May we have the RAW files?”

A: Again, the answer is no. Just like a painter wouldn’t hand over a blank canvas, as a photographer, I will not hand over un-edited images. I might actually break out in a sweat and faint.

Q: “Can you help us order prints and albums of our images?”

A: Absolutely! Nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients print and display their images for their home. I am fully equipped to design and deliver an array of heirlooms and prints.

Q: “Can I edit our wedding images after they’ve been delivered to us?”

A: No. Cropping, editing, or altering images that have been produced and processed by myself or my associates violates copyright law and is subject to lawsuit. If there are any discrepancies or alteration requests with your photos, I encourage you to contact me immediately to voice your concerns so we can determine a reasonable compromise.

Q: “What extent of editing and retouching is included with our package cost?”

A: I edit every image so they are cohesive as a group and reflect my brand as a professional. At the end of the day, my goal is to represent the real you. I offer basic retouching, which covers uneven skin tones and blemish removal. Additional retouching such as clothes alterations, wrinkles, face swaps, and body manipulations are an additional fee of $5-$15 per image and will require extra processing time.
